Credit Cards Tips for You

Good luck trying to order flowers for delivery in NYC right now… It’s 3:56 PM and every flower store in the city I tried has cut off new orders. Which is why we thought this would be a perfect time to pit two concierge services against each other!

American Express Platinum Card Concierge (800-345-AMEX)

CONCIERGE: “Our vendors in New York won’t do it, we had to stop taking orders Friday. Any other day, it would be really easy, sorry.”

Note: American Express must be getting a 25%+ kickback from their “partner vendors” on flower deliveries. I suspect this is the case given the 25%+ flower commission rates that e-commerce sites and credit card bonus malls pay for referrals.

Visa Signature Concierge (800-953-7392)

CONCIERGE: ”Your card isn’t Visa Signature”

ME: “It says Visa Signature on the front.”

CONCIERGE: “Oh, ok then. Let me call around for you, I’ll get back to you within the hour.”

One hour later….

CONCIERGE: “I found one flower shop that would do it, for a $60 minimum and an $8 delivery fee.

Bottom line – American Express Concierge Fail. Visa Signature Goes The Extra Mile.

Visa Signature concierge can literally save your marriage. The best way to get access to it, in our opinion, is with the $0 annual fee Chase Freedom Visa, with $100 cashback sign up bonus.
